Monday, February 11th, 2008

I think Yahoo and AOL would be a much better fit than Yahoo and Microsoft. I hope that this could actually work. It amazes me how Yahoo is really trying to find a way to not get bought by Microsoft.

Yahoo and Microsoft Might Not Be a Done Deal

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

TechCrunch reported today that other companies (such as News Corp.) are interested in Yahoo as well. I am really hoping that whoever purchases Yahoo will preserve a bit of its online identity. I also hope that whoever purchases Yahoo (even if it is Microsoft) continues the work of supporting Flash, Flex, and ColdFusion developers.

Friday, February 1st, 2008

What a way to start a Friday morning… Microsoft has put in a $45 Billion bid for Yahoo. Normally, I don’t mind big corporate mergers, but this one has me a bit concerned. Yahoo has done a great job of supporting Flash / Flex / Actionscript developers in recent years, and I [...]

Anyone Use Helio?

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

My contract with Verizon ends next month. I am evaluating which carrier to switch to (or to stay with Verizon). I was curious if anyone has used Helio. I was thinking about getting the Helio Ocean. I like it over the iPhone because it has 3G, GPS, and auto-uploading to Flickr. [...]

This is the time for some reader response. We have two parts left in the Cairngorm Tutorial Series. I am trying to plan ahead and determine what topic to tackle next (with Flex,AIR,Flash or CF). The Cairngorm series came out of several people specifically asking me to do it. What would [...]

I am working to finish Part 4 of the Cairngorm tutorial sometime today or tomorrow, but I have a Blog Challenge for all of you out there. Most everyone who is involved in web development has been inspired, encouraged, and taught by people that they might not have ever met. I know that [...]

Update – More Pownce Invites

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

I have even more Pownce invites. If you are an AIR Developer (or want to be) this is a good chance to use a real-world application. Also, this has been a good resource for me to discuss with other developers and exchange files while I work. Just comment – and let me [...]
