In the end you do get better quality and you get to take advantage of things like Tivo, but for a minimalist TV watcher like me - the $80 a month was just not worth it. Hulu has its own frustrations too. You only get to see the episodes they want you to see. For some shows they show all of them. For others, it is only selected shows or seasons.
