I actually have the same problem Chris, I have looked around all the boards and havent been able to find an answer yet. Just wondering if you did?

Thanks for the information, it's exactly what I've been looking for. I just bought a new Dell desktop a couple of weeks ago with Vista and I have been completely bummed with how s - l - o - w it has been running. It's been a complete disappointment to say the least. I'm going to give your suggestions a shot and see if that makes a difference.

Regards,

Readyboost is one thing I have not tried yet. I have read a lot of good things about it. I am probably going to jump on NewEgg.com and grab a USB Drive or two for that.

Thanks for the tips. I can't wait to get home and try them on my own computer. Another thing that gave my computer a huge boost is adding a 2gig USB and letting Vista use it with the readyboost. It made a big enough difference where I just left it back there and won't run it without it.
